ABAQUS FEA PRODUCT SUITE

The Abaqus product suite consists of three core products: Abaqus Standard, Abaqus Explicit and Abaqus CAE (Complete Abaqus Environment).

Abaqus Standard provides Abaqus analysis technology to solve traditional implicit finite element analysis, including static, dynamic and thermal analyses, yet powered with the widest range of contact and other nonlinear options since the base code was originally written with nonlinear equations at the foundation. Abaqus Standard also has optional add-on and interface products that address advanced analysis with composites, offshore engineering and integration with third party software, e.g., plastic injection molding analysis.

Abaqus Explicit provides Abaqus analysis technology focused on transient dynamics and quasi-static analysis using an explicit time integration, which is appropriate in many applications, such as drop tests, crushing, manufacturing processes or progressive failure simulation.

Abaqus CAE provides a complete modeling and visualization environment for Abaqus analysis products. With direct access to 3D CAD models, advanced meshing and visualization and with and exclusive view towards Abaqus analysis products, Abaqus CAE is the modeling environment of choice for most Abaqus users.

The progression of Abaqus CAE to over 20 years of development has made the experience of setting up nonlinear and multiphysical simulations an elegantly simple task for the Engineer which further saves time and increases ROI.

FULL MULTIPHYSICS CAPABILITY

Given the depth of its implicit and explicit solvers and its nonlinear foundations, most real world events can be simulated with Abaqus. The broad range of multiphysical capabilities includes fluid-structural interaction (FSI) solutions using XFLOW or other third party codes, such as StarCCM.
